EAST LANSING, Mich. – Dec. 16 – The broadcasts of the MHSAA Eleven-Player Football Finals from Thanksgiving weekend will reair on FOX Sports Detroit on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Four games will be shown each day.  Here is the complete schedule:

  • December 24
                Muskegon Catholic Central v. Munising, Division 8 – 4 p.m.
                Warren DeLaSalle v. Muskegon Mona Shores, Division 2 – 6 p.m.
                Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central v. Ithaca, Division 6 – 8 p.m.
                Grand Rapids South Christian v. Lansing Sexton, Division 4 – 10 p.m.
  •  December 25
                Detroit Loyola v. Ishpeming, Division 8 – 4 p.m.
                Clarkston v Saline, Division 1 - 6 p.m.
                Grand Rapids West Catholic v. Lansing Catholic, Division 5 – 8 p.m.
                Orchard Lake St. Mary’s v. Muskegon, Division 3 – 10 p.m.

The holiday season is also a great time to order DVD’s of MHSAA Tournaments from this past fall or previous years for Christmas presents.  DVD’s can be purchased directly from PrepFilms.com or by navigating to a specific game on the MHSAA.TV website and clicking on the Get DVD button below the video player.  DVD’s are $24.95 for Fall 2014 events, plus shipping and handling.  Only MHSAA Tournament games produced by the NFHS Network are available.  To order games produced by School Broadcast Program members, contact that school directly to see if it offers DVD sales.

The School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events; with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics.  The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.

Here’s the schedule of School Broadcast Program members planning to cover varsity competition this week for broadcast at MHSAA.tv  (As of Dec. 16).  The following events will be shown live:

All sporting events – live or delayed - are available on MHSAA.tv on a subscription basis for their first 72 hours online.   A portion of each subscription is returned to school originating the broadcast.  Subscriptions run either $9.95 for a Day Pass, or $14.95 for a Month Pass.  Some schools are also offering Annual Passes at a discounted rate.  All sporting events become available for free On Demand viewing three days after they have been posted.

To view all of the recent School Broadcast Program productions, go to MHSAA.TV, click On Demand on the nav bar of the left side of the page, and on the Filters tab at the top of next page, click on All States and then select Michigan.

In its tenth season is the radio commentary MHSAA Perspective – presented by the Michigan Army National Guard, which airs on over 80 radio stations and audio outlets across the state, generally during the local broadcasts of high school games.  The program runs for 30 weeks through the end of the winter sports season.  MHSAA Perspective can also be accessed from the home page of the MHSAA Website.
